GINGER TEA RECIPE
Clean & peel the ginger root. Either cut into thin slices or crush in a pestle & mortar. Boil water in a pan. Add the ginger cover & simmer for 10 minutes. Add the tea leaves. Cover for sometime & strain into a cup. We Indians like our tea with milk. You can add a little warm milk & sugar but when fighting a bout of cold & cough, it is not advisable.
You can also use honey and lemon to taste.
Note: When making ginger tea as a home remedy for Cold and Flu, use of milk & sweeteners is not advisable.
