The HTC Wildfire Smartphone, which promises to offer everyone (student, working professional, a housewife or even your grandparents)- one of the most exciting and and comfortable times ahead is a fully loaded Android handset for just Rs.15,000 (approx).
The First Look!
The Wildfire has a 3.2 inch screen, and the lack of real estate above and below the screen makes this phone really comfortable to hold and use. And it also has got an optical trackpad. The build quality feels solid, and not plasticky. The brown-ish and greyish look gives the aura of a phone which may be more quite expensive than this one. As far as the packaging is concerned, The Wildfire comes in the typical HTC trademark rectangle packaging with the phone, the space saving slim charger, the data cable and some manuals.
The 528MHz processor works perfectly with about 3 applications opened-any more than that, then it's definitely going to put strain on the processor. The 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen is a pure delight. The only issue you may have is with the low 240x320 resolution but considering its reasonable price, that's okay! In addition to Android OS, the phone is 3G capable, has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, a 3.5mm jack for connecting to an external audio output source, ability to play back most audio and video, and full social networking integration. The 5MP camera is very good for a phone camera but don't sell your digicam as yet! The battery life of the phone is about 1.5 days from full charge to full discharge.
- Full fledged Android OS smartphone at a reasonable price.
- The 528MHz processor might not be efficient if you open 4-5 applications simultaneously on your phone.
