Magnificent Mary Kom - Her life at a glance!

Mary-Kom 1Five times world champion in boxing- Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom - yet most of us know not much about her. Blame it on our 'cricket-crazy' selves or government or partiality by media, unless someone wins an Olympic medal, we are least bothered about other sports personalities of our country! Nevertheless, nothing can act as a deterrent in the way of ‘Magnificent MC Mary Kom’- the queen of rings-who created history by entering the semi-finals of women boxing at London Olympics 2012. Though she lost the semi-finals today, but does the color of the Olympic medal matter? (She lost to Britain's Nicola Adams - 6-11. Breakup: 1-3, 1-2, 2-3, 2-3)

Valiant Sangwan's tragic loss

sumit sangwan

Though I somehow missed 'the round of 32 of 81 Kg category' boxing match last night at the London Olympics, however it was extremely sad to hear in the morning that India's valiant boxer- Sumit Sangwan had to lose to his Brazilian opponent- Yamaguchi Falacao, under 'controversial' circumstances despite fighting so bravely.
